This student-led blog is looking for volunteers to write for us. As a volunteer, you will be contributing as much or as little as you are able to, either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
Who We Are Looking For?
- You don't need to be a history student, but you do need to be a member of the History Society.
- You can contribute as much or as little as you like. We only ask that you contribute once a month just to keep things exciting.
- International students are welcome to contribute too.
- All content is subject to approval and will need to keep in line with UDSU policies.
- You will be required to attend a bi-monthly informal get-together where we can discuss the content of the blog and what you would like to see happen next.
- You can write about anything to do with the History society, including past events, how you feel about us but you can also write about other projects too.
- You can write about your studies, your experiences at the University of Derby. You can write reviews on past events, future events, and to bring attention to projects and exhibitions.
- However, if you have anything else to contribute, then please feel free to suggest this to us.
As it states, as a volunteer you will be contributing as much as you feel you are able to, and we would like to emphasise that your studies will ALWAYS remain your priority.
If you would like to get involved with this blog, then please send us the following information through email to udsuhistory@gmail.com with "Blog Application" in the email subject:
- Your name and what you are studying
- What you would like to write about for this blog
- How often you feel you can contribute
- Please send us a small sample of your writing. This can be something you have already written, or something new. It can be about anything, it's just to give us an idea of what you'll be contributing to this blog.
- If you are a photography student, then you can also get involved by taking photographs at our events or designing our online advertising and so on.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you,
Sammie Farrell
Social Secretary
